Services and Rates

Pancho's Diving Adventures provides diving and snorkeling boat trips, scuba instruction, and equipment rental - everything you need for a memorable under-the-water experience. Our dive and snorkel trips start from the Caleta marina, between the El Presidente Hotel and the Puerta Maya cruise ship pier - just a few miles south of the main town of San Miguel. We also pick up divers at the hotel and condo piers south of town.

For divers, the prices below include tanks, air, weights, and weight belts. The prices also include all taxes and the daily marine park fee. An experienced and certified dive master leads your dive at no additional cost. If you intend to rent scuba or snorkeling gear, please contact us prior to your scheduled trip with your sizes so that we can have the proper gear ready for you.

Scuba Diving

2-tank Boat Dive

$75 USD

Dive trips leave from the Caleta marina for morning or afternoon excursions. Trips include weights, tanks, air, and snacks and water/juice during the surface interval. The daily marine park fee is included in all prices. All trips include a dive guide.

Multi-Trip Discount

$70 USD

Discounted rate for multi days of diving (2 or more days during the week)

1-tank Night Dive

$60 USD

Night dives are done at one of the shallower reefs close to the marina. Divers enter the water as the sun touches the horizon and descend while some light remains. The majority of the dive is then done during darkness. Each diver is required to have their own dive light for this dive.

2-tank Night Dive

$75 USD

The 2-tank night dives include a twilight dive late in the afternoon and then after a surface interval a regular night dive just as the sun touches the horizon. Each diver is required to have their own dive light for this dive.

Snorkeler Ride-Along

$50 USD

For those who want to snorkel up top and watch the divers explore the deeper parts of the reefs we offer a snorkeler ride-along trip. We will find some shallower parts of the reef more suitable to snorkeling while the divers go deeper. You still get the snacks and drinks between dives. We can provide snorkel equipment (mask, fins, snorkel) if needed.

Non-diver Ride-Along

$25 USD

For those who are not divers but want to partipate in the dive trip, ride along as a non-diving member of the trip. You still get the snacks and drinks between dives. You get some great views and photo opportunities of the Cozumel shore from the water. Maybe you can even play cards with the boat captain. But watch out, sometimes he cheats.

Fuel Surcharge

Add $10 USD

For trips to the far southern dive sites (Columbia, Punta Sur, Chun Chacaab, Maricaibo) there is an addition cost per diver to handle the extra fuel costs.

Snorkeling

1/2 Day Snorkel Trip

$50 USD

Dive trips leave from the Caleta marina for morning or afternoon excursions. Trips include snorkel equipment (mask, fins, snorkel) and snacks and water/juice during the surface interval. The daily marine park fee is included in the price of the snorkel trips. Each snorkel trip provides snorkeling to at least 2 different reefs (three if time allows). Snorkel trips require a 4-person minimum group.

Scuba Diving Instruction

Intro to Scuba Diving

$75 USD

For those who are not yet certified divers, this is the course for you. This is sometimes called a Discover Scuba or a Resort Course. It is a couple of hours of one-on-one instruction. You learn the basic information about the equipment, you practice some basic underwater skills in shallow water. You then do a shallow dive under the close supervison of your instructor. The cost includes all scuba equipment. After you have completed this introductory course, ask your instructor about extending your diving experience with another closely monitored, shallow dive or two.

PADI Open Water

$400 USD

PADI certification is probably the most common scuba certification in north America. Their initial training program (Open Water Diver) involves classroom/book information, confined water experience in the equipment and skills needed for safe diving, and then open water certification dives done under the close observation of a certified instructor. When completed, you are a certified diver. The course includes the books, equipment, classroom instruction, confined water training, and open water certification dives. It requires 2 to 3 days to complete.

PADI Advanced Open Water

$380 USD

PADI Advanced Open Water certification helps you to enhance your diving expertise. It involves five specially focused dives - underwater navigation, deep diving, and three other dives focused on areas of interest to you. It requires 2 to 3 days to complete. You must already be PADI Open Water certified as a prerequisite for this course.

Open Water Referral

$220 USD

It is common for new divers to complete the classroom and confined water instruction in their home towns but want to do their certification dives in the warm waters surrounding Cozumel. Just bring your paperwork with you and complete your certification dives with us. The cost includes your dives and the scuba gear. Contact before coming to Cozumel so that we can confirm your paperwork with your certifying organization (PADI, NAUI, SSI, others).

Refresher Dive

$75 USD

For certified divers who have not had any recent dives, we can review the basics with you through our refresher dive. You work one-on-one with an instructor who reviews the basics of the equipment and the underwater skills you learned during your certification. You do a leisurly re-orientation dive to get you comfortable and confident again. The cost includes scuba gear.
